With Moodle, Pforzheim University provides teachers and learners with a central learning platform. It enables:

Moodle is a globally used open-source learning management system (LMS = Learning Management System). It supports universities in organizing, running, and documenting digital teaching and learning processes. Courses can be structured clearly, materials can be provided centrally, and learning activities, tests, and submissions can be handled digitally.

  • support for in-person teaching and extension with online modules,
  • storage and distribution of files and multimedia learning content,
  • a wide range of learning activities,
  • digital communication, collaboration, and feedback.

Access and Login

The Moodle instance of Pforzheim University is available at: https://lms.hs-pforzheim.de

Login is done with your personal university account. Active Cisco Duo use (two-factor authentication) is required for login. Please ensure Cisco Duo is set up and ready. Because Cisco Duo authentication is mandatory, using the official Moodle app is currently not possible.

Pforzheim University provides all members with LinkedIn Learning video trainings for Moodle 3 via the university account: a fundamentals and a pro course for trainers, an introduction for students, and a basic course for administrators.
